Happy UnBirthday Kaden & Brynn

On Friday we got to go to school and celebrate Kaden and Brynn's birthdays. In Kaden's class, it was a mass birthday party! There were six kids who have birthdays in the summer. She had them all come up to the front of the class and everyone sang to them. She gave them each a little book that she put together with a letter from each of the kids in the class. Some of the kids brought treats to share--Kaden brought Yogos. I brought the camera to get a few pics and of course the memory card was left in the computer so no pictures this time!! When we were finished in Kaden's class, we went to wait for Brynn's class to start. Her teacher assigns a day for each summer child to celebrate as if it was their actual birthday. She got to sit up in a little rocking chair by her teacher while others asked her questions about her favorite things. The entire class made a "wish" for her and drew pictures to put into a book, she got to wear a crown (that she was very proud of) and finally I got to sit up in the chair next to her and tell all about her. She loved every minute of it. It was fun to go to school and be a part of that. Her teacher took pictures so when I get them, I'll add some.

It kind of stinks having a summer birthday I've found. That was so cute of Brynn's teacher to let each one of the summer birthdays have their own special day. I can't wait to see pictures!

So fun! I love end of the year celebrations. They didn't do anything for summer birthdays in Kaylee's class. She has a July birthday and that made me a little sad. What the teacher did in Brynn's class sounds a lot like what Kaylee's kindergarten teacher did. Is it Mrs. Coburn?

Aren't you so glad summer is around the corner??
