Zach's team had an awesome come back today in their tournament game in SL (West Jordan). They were down 7-0 in the 2nd inning....then it was time to play defense and that they did! Zach had a great catch in left field and got a single right when we needed one! We started the 7th inning 8-7 (we were down) and we held them there. We were the home team, Zach was the first at bat--gets a single. Next batter, gets on first. Next batter--strikes out. Next batter, gets a single. We have bases loaded---one out....Zach's teammate hits a double Zach scores and the guy on second scores to win the game! The team we played was at least 2 feet taller than all of our guys, it was so great to win. But, that means we head BACK down on Monday. If we win our first game, we play a second game at 5:00 pm. We tell Zach to take one game at a time, but he is determined that we'll be headed to Palo Alto, CA when they win the next two games. (we're sorta hoping for a loss so our trip to Arizona isn't ruined!! ha) Here is a picture of Zach's team...he's the one slumped down in the front. The kid with his batting helmet still on hit the game winning hit.
