We went to Phoenix July 25-29 and had a great time! We left Springville at 7:00 am and made a few stops along the way--we saw Lake Powell and the Grand Canyon. It was a long trip, but we finally arrived at Greg's sister Wendy's house around 8:30 pm. Wendy and her family were so great to us--we had a great visit...swimming in the pool, going bowling, hitting the mall, playing the Wii, playing games and just chatting. Great food, too. We all (plus Greg's brother Chris), went to see the Diamondbacks vs. the Braves on Friday night. It was a great game! The boys were loving every minute of it. Greg took Zach, Tanner and Kaden early to batting practice. They came home with about 6 balls--two of them were hit by Andruw Jones and Chipper Jones (Zach's favorite players). Around the 8th inning of the game, while Greg was getting the kids something to eat, a fan gave Greg two tickets behind home plate. He and Zach went to check them out and then there was extra room so he came back for Tanner and Kaden. They were so close and ended up watching extra innings. The Diamondbacks won by one point (a walk off home run), but the kids still had a great time. On Saturday, we went to Gilbert to visit with Cindy (Denise's roommate at BYU) and her family. The kids swam, played Wii and we had a barbecue. It was a great visit. We stopped off at Chris' apartment to say goodbye. We didn't leave early on Sunday, we visited with Wendy a little and helped get her house back to normal again...then took off around 10:00 am. Our trip home was uneventful and took 10 hours to Springville. We stopped there for about an hour and got back to Providence at midnight. We all could have stayed a couple more days--but it was time to get back to work and Brynn started swimming lessons Monday.
