The Orioles met their match tonight when they played the Red Sox. After having an undefeated season, the Orioles lost 9-4 in the Championship Game tonight. It was a sad loss. Tanner pitched 2 innings (the strategy was to pitch him two innings and then come in the last inning--well, there was no last ups for the Red Sox!). The third inning was the bad one--Tanner played catcher and short stop, too. He hit a home run his first up and was beaned by the ball his next up to bat...scoring 2 of the 4 points. Great game Tanner! After the game, the team had an ice cream party and all the kids got a trophy. It was a great season---two kids done with baseball one more to finish up. As Tanner said, "now it's going to be a boring summer"! (Picture of Tanner eyeing the trophy he just got!)
