Mountain Crest Mustangs Still Alive

The Mustangs are still alive in the State Baseball Tournament.  They lost their first home game against Timpanogos High School and then won their second game against Provo High School.  Tanner has had the opportunity to play 2nd base in both games and he is doing great.  In the second game, he got a hit to get things going.  It was awesome, he hit a single, then Luke moved him to second and Ampy laid down a sweet bunt that moved Tanner to 3rd and Ampy got 1st!  He stole 2nd and then with runners on 2nd and 3rd, Nick moved them.  Ampy ended up scoring on a wild pitch and we won 2-1 (after holding them in the top of the 7th and they had runners on 2nd and 3rd with only 1 out--YIKES!)  Luke made an amazing catch out in center field to win the game!  I get nervous during these games, but they are sure fun.  We head down to Kearns High School to play Cyprus on Monday at 4:30 pm.  Logan and Sky View are also playing the same day with the same record.  Go Mustangs!
