Happy Valentine's Day!

I feel so lucky to have FIVE special Valentines! I love my family so much. We don't go all out for Valentine's Day, but I love to make it a little special for everyone. I like to write Valentine notes to my kids expressing how much they mean to me and how proud I am of them. I always give Greg a Valentine expressing my love and appreciation for him. It's always fun to do a fun "heart" hairdo in Brynn's hair and help in the classroom for the Valentine's party. Back when the kids were little, I borrowed a friend's heart waffle maker and always made heart waffles for breakfast. Now, there just isn't time for that in the mornings (and I'm sure my friend uses it with her little family now)....so I bought heart shaped donuts and made some Apple Cranberry juice. I made four batches (over a weeks time) of Valentine Sugar Cookies (I have the BEST recipe)...one of those this morning for their heart snack....then for dinner tonight, I strayed away from the red noodles, spaghetti, etc. and made steak, potatoes, carrots, rolls and a fruit salad with Apple Raspberry juice. It's fun for me to do something a little different than the norm for dinner on Valentine's Day. Greg and I celebrated by going out to dinner on Friday night--I would rather stay home with the family than fight the crowds on Valentine's Day. I hope you all have felt loved today--Happy Valentine's Day!
