We have a big year this year--I was thinking about it and Zach will play his final season of high school baseball this year, graduate from High School on May 30th and turn in his mission papers this year. He will turn 19 in October and go on a mission sometime around than! Tanner will have his Eagle Court of Honor (hopefully in January), play his first season of High School baseball, turn 16 this year and get his license, start dating and go to the High School in August. Kaden will become a teenager in June (oh no, three teenagers under one roof!) and then Brynn will turn double digits in July.
My hopes for this year are to just savor every minute of our family time that I can. I want to be at as many of the kid's events as I can (I typically make every effort to do so). I'd also like to focus more on others than on myself. I know that I can do a better job reaching out and helping those around me.
Of course, there are the normal New Year's Resolutions--eat better (I'll work on proportion sizes this year :-) and exercising. I think I might have this down, we'll see, before the holidays I was getting up at 5:00 to go to the gym with Greg. It was working perfectly so hopefully I can jump right back into that come Tuesday when we go back to our school/work routine.
Here's hoping that 2012 is a great year for me, my family and everyone! The important thing is to not give up when we forget or mess up--we just need to start over!!
Happy New Year!!
