A Fall Update

I really have not been very good at posting what we are up to! Sometimes it just seems like the days fly by and before I know it a week is gone. I survived last Friday with my presentation and paper. I was so nervous--oh my gosh, but by noon I was done! I think my presentation went well. I don't know what I got on anything yet, but I did my best and now I know what to expect next time!

Our weekend getaway was so much fun. Greg's dad met us in Salt Lake and picked up Tanner, Kaden and Brynn for the night. We went to the Anniversary Inn and stayed in a fun room--the Mountain Hideaway. We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory at Trolley Square for dinner--nothing fancy but fun. We had a great time relaxing and spending time together. The next day we did some shopping and then drove down to Springville to meet up with the kids. We didn't do too much--just visited and hung around the house. We came home early Sunday and made it to our ward here at home. Zach stayed with his friend so he could play in his baseball games Saturday. He had a great time with the Bowlers, they were so nice to keep him and took great care of him. He had fun with his friends at the Mountain Crest Homecoming Game, a corn maze, his games and he went to church with the Bowlers. We were happy to all be home together again.

Last week was homecoming week at Mountain Crest. Zach is in ASSETS (a club at school) so he was on a float in the parade. Greg took the kids out to watch while I was in class (wah!). They had a fun time. Here are some pictures Greg took...

I don't think I ever mentioned that Tanner decided to play hockey this year. He went to his first practice yesterday. Hockey is a huge committment and takes up a lot of time--the arena is on the other side of town and he practices Wednesday and Saturday for an hour. That means time to drive there, time for him to change into and out of his clothes and the hour practice!! His games are far away when they are away, too. I am happy that he is playing one more year--we can get some pictures and just enjoy watching him play. BUT, it is also always stressful--it makes for some busy Saturdays (not to mention Wednesdays with my class--sigh).

On Monday this week, we made tin foil dinners in our fire pit and then had S'mores for our Family Home Evening snack. It was fun, we hope to use the fire pit a little more in the fall before the snow falls....although the kids think it would be fun to have a fire outside in the snow...we'll see.

Tomorrow night Greg, Zach, Tanner and I are going to watch the BYU vs USU football game. My sister Diana and her family are coming up from Springville to go too. Mom & Dad will watch her younger three and my younger two kids. It's not even going to be close because USU is NOT GOOD this year, but that's okay--I may be an Aggie now, but I was a Cougar first!!! GO COUGS!

I'm glad your paper and presentation went well. And it sounds like you had a good weekend--relaxing! We were going to come up this weekend, but the stomach flu has hit our house. :( I've only been an Aggies, but I even back then I'd cheer for BYU when they met up (and they were better back then).
By the way...I love your new background!
