Greg prepared and prepared for his trip to the Tetons for almost a year! It has finally come and gone. He left last Sunday evening with four other guys--Bishop Lundgreen, Dave Israelsen, Trevor Israelsen and Bishop Bingham. They drove to Island Park to stay in the Lundgreen's cabin and then headed on their way Monday morning. He was so excited for this trip. When he dislocated his ankle in March, we weren't sure how this hike would work--but he said his ankle did great and he felt good. He called us Friday night and said that Thursday they were hammered with a huge thunderstorm (probably one similar to ours-but they were in tents in the mountains!) and so they decided to just hike the whole way out Friday rather than breaking it up Friday and Saturday as they had originally planned. The kids were SO excited to hear that he'd be home around midnight Friday night rather than later Saturday! He got home around 1 am and 3/4 kids were up wide eyed waiting for him. Brynn had fallen asleep on the couch but once we woke her up she was so happy to see her daddy! We are so happy he had a fun time and was able to have this experience!! Something he has always wanted to do (now he wants to backpack with me too--uh oh!). Now, we are getting ready to get some school shopping done, have one last hurrah at a family reunion next week and then Greg will go to graveyard shift and the kids will start school.

I'm so glad Greg had fun and his ankle was good. That would be an experience to go backpacking too! You would do great!
Your swim lesson pictures look like fun! That's a great way to end the summer...so sad, huh?
Toby's planning Havasupai for next summer--time to get in shape. You would love it. We'll count you guys in!
I have always wanted to do a trip like that! You should go for it. :)
