We have been spending a lot of time at baseball fields!! Mountain Crest finished up their season with a 14-1 record. They had a sad loss on Friday against one of their valley rivals, Sky View. You hate to blame it on bad calls---but with a home run called foul (when it was very obviously fair) and another bad call at second base...you wonder if the game would have gone a different way. Oh well, Mountain Crest finished up #1 in the Region and will begin playing in the State playoffs this week on Tuesday and Wednesday at home. The State Tournament is so much fun---let's go MC! Zach will get some pitching time over the next two weeks, how exciting! Go Mustangs!
Tanner's superleague team has been doing awesome! They were 8-0 going into a tournament up in Pocatello/Blackfoot, Idaho this weekend. They won both of their games on Friday and then lost two on Saturday. Their pitching just didn't go deep enough. They are now 10-2, not bad at all! Tanner was "injured" for a few weeks because he hurt his back swinging the bat about a month and a half ago. He went to physical therapy and seems to be doing better. I wasn't able to go to the tournament, but Greg reports that "Tanner is back" after pitching an amazing game on Friday. Go Giants!!
Brynn has been playing rec soccer this spring. She loves it and has so much fun! She is fun to watch and has developed some pretty good skills moving the ball down the field. Sadly, she is playing on a team that has really struggled making any goals! They have lost every game but yesterday Brynn scored the teams first goals!!! Way to go, Brynn! She scored two goals--one per half. We were so proud and it was even better because she told Greg she would score a goal for him for his birthday! Happy Birthday, Daddy!
