Today is Zach's 19th Birthday. The one I have not looked forward to all these years! I have mixed feelings about this birthday--so exciting to think of what the future holds for Zach, but then so sad knowing that our time with him here at home is coming to an end. Our family dynamics will change forever. Zach is such an awesome kid. We have enjoyed having him still at home this past summer and now this fall. He has been working hard and playing hard :-) and enjoying his time with all of his friends before they all head off their separate ways. Zach plans to start his mission papers in a couple weeks. He has to have surgery on his foot on November 14th. He had a little injury from baseball that needs to be taken care of. Just a simple outpatient surgery to remove a little growth. We have his doctor and dentist appointments scheduled (first week of November). We plan to have all of the papers done in about a week's time and then hope to have his appointment with his Stake President shortly after and get the papers in. He hopes to have his mission call before Christmas. A lot of Zach's friends are also in the same process--a few have their calls--Cody Perkes-Sao Paulo Brazil, Branson Bowler-Bogota Colombia and Tanner Richardson is filling out papers. Zach goes to a farewell or homecoming regularly!! After he gets his papers done, he plans to attend a Missionary Prep class up at the USU Institute with his buddies. We are so proud of Zach and love him so much! These next couple months are going to be stressful and exciting :-)

Seriously, when did he grow up? Oh my goodness? I can remember when I met him and he was only 11. You're such a good mom, who is always involved in her kids lives and your kids will forever be grateful for you always being such a big part of their lives. We need to catch up!!!
