Tonight we had Tanner's Court of Honor for his Eagle. It was perfect! Tanner didn't want a big deal, in fact, he didn't even want to have one! We invited a lot of people--family, scout leaders, scouts, friends and ward members. About 45 people came to support him, it was so nice. He chose Jon Sessions to receive the mentor pin. Jon was his 11 year old scout leader and really had an influence on Tanner getting a nice jump in Scouts. Jon said a few words, then Greg and I said a few words followed by Scott Haueter, the YM President when Tanner finished working on his Eagle. The current YM President, Randy Eck, presented the certificate and award to Tanner. Greg did the Eagle Oath with him. Bishop Jensen said a few words and then it was over. Zach and Kaden gave the prayers and Kaden and a few other scouts did the flag ceremony. Both mine and Greg's parents came, too. It was a great night and we are so proud of Tanner. He worked hard and I know he will continue to work hard in everything he does. Kaden isn't too far behind. He is just finishing a few things to receive his Life and then he can work on his project and a few more merit badges and receive his Eagle.
