JaNuArY 2011

Here goes my attempt to have at least one update per month on the blog! Not too bad, since it is January 31st! We have had a pretty good month. At the moment, no one is heavily involved in a sport so our weekends have been AWESOME! We haven't had to get up early and race off to any games or practices...yeah!! Zach and Tanner have stayed busy working out at RACE Rx. RACE Rx is a sports conditioning facility where they have been working out in preparation for baseball this spring/summer. After a few weeks of working out, Zach was offered a job as a trainer. He has enjoyed working with a couple groups a few nights a week. For a while, the boys would go to RACE Rx every afternoon for a couple of hours, now things have slowed down because the high school baseball team has started their winter workouts so they are down to two nights a week. Zach then goes to the high school for workouts two nights a week. Tanner's Super League team (new this year--the South Cache Giants) has been practicing on Wednesday evenings for a few months. Greg is helping coach this year---it has been fun for him. Only one more month until tryouts at the high school--Zach can't wait. Actually, I think we are all looking forward to the baseball season (well, maybe not Brynn :-). Both Zach and Tanner will be playing in separate tournaments in St. George in March--let the fun begin!!

We haven't gotten too much snow this month--yeah. It has been cold, but we can handle that. Hopefully only two more months of snow (or less) and we'll be praying for a warm Spring!

The kids are all working hard in school. Kaden did awesome this term (he is on a different schedule than the older boys--they are at midterm in their trimester and he is in the beginning of his 3rd term). He got a 3.95 both terms...one A- each time! Way to go, Kaden!!

This month, Tanner got his braces off! YEAH...two kids down! Greg is now in braces and Kaden will be next to get them on this summer. Zach is preparing to get his wisdom teeth out this Friday--he is not quite sure what he is getting into, but I'm sure he'll do fine. Some video game time, liquids/soft foods and pain pills should keep him comfortable.
