Tanner's team, the Phillies played in the Cache Valley Majors Tournament on Friday night against the Logan Dodgers. His team went undefeated in the tournament so if they had lost the game on Friday at 7 pm, they would have had to play again at 8:30. They had to be beat twice. Tanner started the game off with a home run--of course we missed it!! We ran to a ward barbecue before the game to eat dinner and socialize a bit. We left in a rush and got to the field as the second batter for our team was up (Tanner is the lead off batter). We noticed the score was 1-0 (us) and there was no way we were THAT late---yep, Tanner hit a home run and we missed it!! Tanner pitched the first three innings and kept the score 1-0. He pitched AWESOME!! Then he played catcher for the remainder of the game. He really likes to play catcher, too. He had a couple other hits/RBI's. You can read about the game here.
