Baseball Update

It's pretty sad when I thought I should put an update on our blog and realized it will all be a baseball update!! The seasons are all winding down. Zach's team-the Blacksmith Fork Trappers-has a double header on Saturday and then their tournament starts on Monday. They have done well--it will be interesting to see if they will play against the other Blacksmith Fork 'A' team in the tournament. Tanner's team-the Providence Phillies-is doing awesome in the Majors tournament. The tournament started last week. They have played four games and won them all. They will play in the Championship game on Friday night. If they lose the first game, they will play again because they have to lose twice. They definitely have the advantage (plus the teams coming from the losers bracket will have played 4-5 games this week and will really struggle with pitchers per the pitching rule). Kaden's team-the Providence Cubs-starts their tournament tomorrow. Theirs is a single elimination tournament. Greg is the coach and about ready for this to be done! Go Cubs! Brynn is the champion ball park orphan. She runs around with all the other little siblings at every ball park getting dirty and begging for change when there is a snack stand. She has been a trooper (although she gets really mad when we call her home from her friend's house to go to a game). Tanner's All Star team will start playing next week and that will last for two weeks. Now you can see why we don't ever plan any trips during June and July!! Zach is at EFY this week and having a fun time. Greg finishes up day shift Friday and goes to swings...that is always a tough shift. We hope it goes fast (although that means school will start...). Summer is really cruising by--so sad!!
