Mustangs Basketball

Zach spent six grueling days trying out for the Mountain Crest Freshman Basketball team. It was so stressful (for him and us!). The first week he practiced/tried out on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs with the first cuts posted on Wednesday morning and then the second cuts posted on Friday morning. He made both cuts. I thought that was it--well, no, there were four freshman who were dressing on the Varsity football team and they needed to have some time to show off their skills -- try outs were also on Monday and Tuesday (there was no school but they practiced for three hours). The final cuts were posted on Wednesday morning. Zach is so excited to have made the team. Tonight we had the parent meeting to pay the fees (school sports are not cheap) and meet the teams. He is so excited....and so are all of us. It will be fun, his whole super league team made the team as well as a few from his baseball team so we will be able to spend time with the families we have gotten to know so well! We look forward to supporting him and going to his games. Way to go, Zach!

That is great news! Hopefully he will have fun doing it. He must be very talented. You've done a great job.

Seriously, is there any sport that kid CAN'T do? No! I didn't think so! Congrats Zach, that is great and even better that all your buddies are on the team with you. Well, Denise, I guess so much for not being busy, oh wait, it wasn't like that anyway!!! Congrats again!!!
