Okay, so keeping our family blog up to date has not been a priority...at.all! We are bad, no I am bad! Life is good. We are all keeping busy with our normal day to day activities, but now MC baseball is back in full swing and we are all so excited!! The season started with our annual tournament in St. George. We did awesome down there--we went 3-1 and Tanner played well. He is playing left field this year. He asked coach during the summer if he could play outfield. The other Tanner Johnson does well at 2nd base and Tanner Leishman does well at short so--we need some depth in the outfield. He has had a few doubles, a few singles and not too much action out in left field (he said he was bored out there!). MC is doing well, but this week will be important. We play Sky View twice this week and they have been winning (Tanner says it's because they have been playing teams that are not good.....hopefully that is true!). Kaden is the manager this year again, but with the JV/Varsity teams and he loves it. It's so fun that they can be together on the team trips and I don't have to worry about rides for Kaden like I did last year! Even Brynn is enjoying going to the games--that's a first! This is our year--we are going to go far and enjoy the ride.....it will be over before we know it!
Zach is seriously loving the mission so much! Go read his emails at the link to the right. He got his official release date--June 30th. WAH! I know, what kind of parents are we--we are sad! We want him to enjoy every last minute. I kinda worry about him coming home. I know he is loving the work so much, he does not want to come home! We are applying for school for him (he wants to go to UVU--but we applied to USU as well, just in case!). When Zach gets home, Tanner will submit his mission papers---then we get to go on the missionary ride again (Yeah---we love having a missionary out!). I was doing the math earlier this week and figured we could possibly have Tanner and Kaden out in the mission field at the same time--for a few months! Yikes!
The school year is cruising by and soon enough, we'll have two graduates. I hate how fast time flies, but I'm learning to sit back and enjoy it. There is no wishing time away these days--we've got to take each day at a time and enjoy the ride.
It was General Conference this weekend. It's always so wonderful to listen to the Prophets and Apostles speak to us. I always learn so much. President Monson didn't look too good this time. I think he is not well and that his days are short....I took for granted that he was in good health and would just keep going and going.
MLB Opening day is tomorrow---it's funny that the opening game tonight is the Cardinals at the Cubs--the boys are already betting and trash talking (the Cardinals are winning--poor Kaden!)
