Baseball State Tournament

We are right in the middle of the State Tournament.  It is so exciting!!  The games started last Tuesday (May 15).  Zach pitched the first game against Olympus.  We won that game 8-2.  Zach did a great job.  Then we played Salem Hills on Wednesday.  Ben Weese pitched that game and we won 10-5.  Salem Hills is a great team, we played awesome!  Zach played right field in that game.  We start back up again this week.  We are traveling down to Kearns for the first game tomorrow at 4:30.  Zach will be pitching against Skyline.  The rest of the week is up in the air--if we lose, we go back and play on Wednesday morning.  If we win, we don't go down again until Thursday (that would be the best option :-).  We are, of course, hoping for a win tomorrow!!  Zach is excited and nervous--this is what it's all about!  It would be amazing if we could win state--but it's better to just take one game at a time.  The tournament is double elimination.  Tanner was asked to dress and travel with the team throughout the tournament--he is having a great time hanging in the dug out and being with Zach.  GO MUSTANGS!!
