After a long break from basketball, region play started this week. Zach's team is now 1-1. They are playing much better than the beginning of the season. The game today was awesome (and I only got to see half of the 3rd quarter and the 4th--I had to take Brynn and Kaden to the eye doctor in SL). They were playing Sky View--their rival who has always been tough to beat. They went back and forth in the lead. When I got there, we were up by a couple. We lost that lead and they were up. Just when I about thought it was all over (time was running out and we kept having to foul them)....we were down by one and the video clip below shows the last 9 seconds of the game. Kaden finishes up his season tomorrow and we get to travel to a couple away games for hockey this month (a home game, a game in Ogden and a game in Park City).
Big news: Greg was given a new assignment at work--M-F 8-5 office job!!! YEAH! We are all so happy that he is off rotating shifts. He now has to wear a shirt/tie to work, drives a boring black Crown Vic and is the Training Sergeant. He is so happy about the change and looks forward to his new duties.
We are all back into the swing of things after the Christmas break. Kaden got a longer break because he had strep throat. We just want January to hurry up--it is freezing up here!!

Yeah for Greg and you! Hopefully he loves his new desk job. I'm with you about January needing to be over. We have been sick too and it's freezing, even in Houston!
