Tanner's All Star Championship game was on July 30 and on July 31 we were able to take a quick trip to Island Park and Yellowstone. Thanks to some friends who let us stay in their cabin! We had a great getaway. We enjoyed spending time at the cabin (watching movies and being together), driving into Yellowstone (seeing a Bald Eagle, elk, buffalo, having a picnic, etc.) and canoeing at Mack's Inn. We also spent some time at the Bear and Wolf Conservation Center in West Yellowstone. It was fun to see some bears and wolves, especially because we couldn't see any in the park. We also went to church in Mack's Inn which was a fun experience. Here are just a few pictures from the trip.

This was very cool to see

The kids at Old Faithful

Proof that we were there! :-)

Wow--I don't know why, but your kids look soooo much more grown up! Maybe because they're all growing. ;)
I love little quick getaways and yours looks like it was a lot of fun!
Your kids are growing like crazy ... (maybe if you stop feeding them, they'll stop growing) ... I'm going to try it down here--see if it works.
Fun family times.
Looks like fun, we need to take our kids to Yellowstone. We have never really done the real deal. It's always been just a drive through kind of trip. I haven't seen you all summer, my backyard neighbor!
We're such losers that we live in Utah-- and haven't been to Yellowstone! We had plans to go this summer.. and then spontaneously bought 3 dirtbikes instead. I'll just have to experience through your pics..
Glad it was fun!
