Playing Catch Up

I really have not been very good at keeping up with our blog! Saying we are busy isn't really an excuse because everyone is busy and we all know that no matter how busy we are, we will always make time for the things we WANT to do! So, I guess that means I haven't wanted to blog! No, not really, I just haven't had anything too "blog worthy" to report. I'll do a quick (ha LONG) run down on what we've been up to:

Zach is really loving the fact that he is playing baseball again. His team has played three games and rescheduled one! They are 2-1 and have a game Thursday and then two on Saturday. He has pitched, played 1st base and some left field. He recently got his Learner's Permit (March 9th). This is a whole new thing for us--he has been out driving a few times and let's just say---he could use a little more practice! (and Greg and I more patience!). He has lots of time to practice and we are hoping to buy a smaller car which will help.

Tanner finished up hockey last week and has joined a Logan U12 baseball team. He had a frustrating year last year with the Cubs (we won't say any more about it). The Logan Grizz team has called us a few times wanting Tanner to play with them in a few tournaments. He went to his first practice last week--he says it will be fun (he was worried about not knowing anyone).

Kaden received his Bear last week in Scouts. (Don't pay any attention to the shirt he is wearing--it's Tanner's already with the Bear patch sewn on!) He also received the Geography Belt Loop and Pin. He has been following March Madness and the MLB Spring training games. He can't wait to get out on the field and start playing again!

Brynn is waiting for the snow to go away so she can start playing soccer. She recently learned a sad lesson--she brought her most cherished possession, Max, to school and lost him. Max is a little stuffed puppy (Webkin) that she carried everywhere and slept with. We are all so sad for her. She has checked the lost and found daily hoping he will turn up.

I'm on the final countdown of coursework! I will finish up these two classes and walk in Graduation on May 1st. I will then complete my practicum and either take Comps or finish a project in the Summer and be done in August. It is so amazing that I am almost done. I can't believe it.

Many of you know that I have already started working as an Early Intervention Vision Consultant. I absolutely love it! I have four adorable babies that I work with and their families are amazing. I feel so blessed to have the job and to be able to be paid while I do my practicum hours. I will keep the job after I finish up and eventually add more babies to my caseload. (I still work my other job as well--life is crazy!)

Greg is finishing swing shift this week and moves on to graveyard. He is still playing hockey and volleyball and loves that time to socialize and get some exercise. He is getting geared up for our next home improvement project--painting!

it's so good that your kids are involved in good activities. my parents tried to get me into sports with no success. i probably wouldn't have gotten into so much trouble if i had been more invovled in other things. and i think it's awesome that your boys are scouters. i really believe it teaches them so much about responsibility and being prepared.
